Healthy Buildings, a design/build firm in Napa, has been working to improve the built environment for more that 10 years. Healthy Buildings teamed up with the Knight family of Yountville to develop the Vineyard Oaks subdivision – 12, LEED-H Gold, net zero energy luxury homes on the vineyards a the corner of Yountville Cross Road and Stags View Lane.In the early 1980s, Bob Massaro’s first career in public health segued into his current vocation. “I was educated in biology and focused on health care,” he remembers. “But in 1981, I left my position at a Los Angeles teaching hospital, because I felt there was a larger purpose for me—though I didn’t know what it was. My brother, who’s an architect, convinced me to start a business with him. As kids, we always liked to build, so it was a natural interest. Read more
